Detours is a relatively new company, formed by the folks that make Mountainsmith Backpacks. (I bought a Mountainsmith Elite 4000 pack in 1992 and have camped the shit out of it, and it's still going strong) Anyhow, pictured here are a bunch of Toucans. A boxy pannier that goes on and off easily, holds a ton and comes with a rain cover. And they open with a zipper and hinge, like doctors' bags from days of old. New this year are the woven grass and reused drink box varieties. Also in the picture is the dependable Jannd Grocery Pannier in red, as well as Jannd's Hurricane Pannier set in blue and yellow.
