Owen gave me the choice of decal location. On all of my own 531 bikes, the decal is at the top of the seattube, under the headtube. And they're all scratched up, or off completely (same with the Columbus decals too). I like that the French locate their decals by the shifterbosses, so I chose the same. We used DiaCompe's Silver Star Bar End Shifters. They can be mounted on the frame itself for the purist (lighter too). When riding all day, or when carrying a load, I like to be able to shift without letting go of the bars.
